Lost 4 bulbs over weekend, need some help

I have a 72" coralife retrofit on my 125. It is 3 150w mhs and 4 96w PC bulbs. One set of pc bulbs went out on Saturday morning so I ordered 4 replacements. Thinking the others are probably not be far behind. Well I was correct, the other set went out on Sunday night. The bulbs didn't get here til today. I just finished installing them and nothing

The bulbs all had black ends so I figured they just burned out. Do I have a bad ballast? If so since they are wired in pairs could just 2 of the 4 ballast be out? Is there any way to check the ballast to tell? I don't feel bad for buying the new bulbs since the old bulbs were used when I bought them, but I really don't want to spend $240 on 4 new ballasts for outdated pc lighting. I would rather spend that on a reef brite led and call it a day.

Thanks in advance

Well I just took my ballast housing apart and found out that they are controlled by 2 162 watt ballasts not 4 96 watt.

This is good news since to replace the ballasts it will be $160 and not $240.

Still not sure they are the problem or if it will be worth it.
