Banded Trochus Snail (Trochus sp.)
It is hard to find the reef snail I prefer, but here is some info:
Banded Trochus Snail (Trochus sp.) 1. It is peaceful 2. Warm water snail (it comes from the warm waters of Indonesia) 3. Feeds on algae, cyanobacteria, diatoms, and film algae 4. Not easily eaten by crabs due to shell shape 5. It is able to right itself if turned over 6. Can live to 5 or 7 years (mileage may vary due to tank conditions & predators) 7. Readily reproduces in a reef aquarium So to sum it up: 1. They get along with others 2. They like reef weather 3. They are hard working janitors 4. They know a little Judo for defense 5. They can pick themselves up 6. They may live long and prosper 7. They like to party What more can you ask for?!? More Details
