Brand New. I need help getting starter!
Hello. I live in the North Tampa area and just bought a 75 gallon bow front aquarium. I have the pump and filter but not sure what else I need. I want to do corals and I know I need better lighting but I need to set up the tank first. I have crush shells at the bottom but I am going to switch to live sand. Besides that, not sure what to do next. I need help! LOL please help me. I bought books but I am not great with those kinds of directions.

Read up on the stickys, have patience and than ask specific questions, it will save you alot of money in the long run and keep your livestock alive. In the past day theres a decent size thread on starting a new tank, read it.

In addition to what was said above I'd also recommend finding a local reef club...even if all they do is chat online...having local reef addicts to bounce questions off of is a great asset. I found: http://tampabayreefclub.org/ in under 10 seconds on google. I'm not affiliated with them though..I'm sure there are other clubs out there near you.

Thanks for all the help. I joined Tampa Reef Clubs forum and plan on going to their next meeting. I appreciated the links as well.
