YAY!!! Clownfish came in today!

I picked out the first fish for my 120 gallon tank. I received my 2 clowns in the mail today and I couldn't be more thrilled about it. They are the most beautiful clowns I have ever laid my eyes on

I couldn't be more excited about this. I acclimated them and put them into a 30 gallon tall QT with a heater, pvc pipe, maxijet 1200 and a HOB aquaclear 110 filter. They are small (about 1 in.) so I figured that wouldn't be too much flow for the tank. However, for the past 5 or 6 hours they have just stayed in the bottom left corner and just keep swimming up against the glass. Is this normal?

Submarine guy:

Them two together:

EEEEKKKKK! I'm so happy

Thank you Lorraine (bluespotlady)!

Congrats!! Those look positively healthy and gorgeous. If I'm not mistaken, those are Picassos.

As I am one of the unfortunate one's who had Ich despite QT without treatment annd now advocate QT and prophylactic treatment, I am curious if you plan to prophylactically treat these fish?

They are some type of percula and gorgeous at that. Thanks for the compliments. I do have them in QT right now but don't think that I am going to treat with copper at this point. I'm leaning more towards the side of not treating unless I see signs of disease.

I think you should take a pic with them in QT and replace your avatar. Would look much better than that fish-in-bag avatar .

I have 3 sets of clowns, 1 pair in separate tanks and both pairs seem to prefer the corners. All 4 of mine are usually in one of the upper corner of the tank with the exception of a pair of gold banded maroons. They were wild caught, unfortunately, so I don't know if that's the reason. Was babysitting those and they were never picked up...I usually don't go the wild route: Leave them in their homes, where they belong!

Excellent idea, especially with tank bred clownfish.

Thanks for all the replies you all. I have been feeding PE mysis, NLS pellets and some formula flake food. Is there anything else you all would recommend to vary their diet? I just love them so much and could watch them all night!
