Which clownfish to go with???
Thinking of typical pair of Ocellaris in the future but just curious what others think or have experience with.

Yeah figure out the one's that you really like. Then research them to see if they are the right fit. For instance, I love the gold stripe maroons. When I looked into them though, it seemed they would be too aggressive for my tastes and the tank I was putting them in. So I looked elsewhere. Eventually decided on Clarkiis. But it depends upon your tastes and the environment they would be going in.

I agree wit Jocko and meatball87, choose one you like (and are happy to pay for), research if it will fit in with your tank and other inhabitants and go from there.

I love my black ocellaris. Very stark contrast between that deep black body and the white stripes. When I get a larger tank, I plan on adding a more traditional Nemo, LOL
Ocellaris are usually the easiest and tamest, and stay small. The other clowns get bigger and show more aggression. That is a generality, but usually applies. Good luck. As a side note, I don't know what the obsession is with Platinums. Super expensive, and to me they are ugly. I understand the whole rarity thing, but geesh! This is of course, JMHO! Snowflakes and Picassos are kind of cool and some of the other less noticable hybrids. |

Yea I have a tank bread black and white and a "fancy" normal ocellaris. Not going to lie, I wanted a snowflake because the blue they develop looks great, but not for the price.
Went with ocellaris because they are supposed to be the most peaceful, all the others are supposed to be a-hole fish and the breeds like maroons get huge. |
