How does this LED light look?

Does anyone have any experience with this light:

http://www.reefspecialty.com/virtuem...led-light.html

I'm really confused by LEDs, does this look like it would be enough light for very light demanding corals, clams, anemones?

Your looking at one of the top of the line LED fixtures at the moment. Thats Eotech's Radion. Lots of people are testing them out with great results, but have their complaints as well. Depending on the size of your tank and depth, you may need more than one fixture with makes for lots of $$$

I would be putting it over a 36 gallon tank. ELos midi more specifically. 22.5x20x19.5

It should def suffice for coverage. This is strong enough for clams anemones and SPS I would assume? I like how it can link up with a pair of MP10's and simulate storms, and other patterns.

Color spectrum has been the big issue as with most LEDs but of course the price.

There is no reason to doubt that it is not strong enough for a 36G while you are putting 110+W of LED on it. You rather want to dim it down at the beginning.

Surprised to hear there are complaints about these lights because the company actually just released and started shipping them. I am under the impression not many folks actually have them yet.

There is a long detailed thread about these lights on reef central under ecotech marine ( vender). You can learn everything you want to know about these lights there.

i would wait on these leds untill people have used them for awhile to make sure they are as good as the price says they are. only thing i dont like is the red and green lights. these two colors have been scientifically proven that they increase alge growth

There are threads discussing why this concern is not that big of a deal

I meant nothing bad about the fixture. I said they have been used with great results, but someone will always have something to complain about. Like said they are still very new and hard to say much about them without personal results. What works for some people might not work for someone else.
