yellow watchman goby
ok so i introduced some new critters this evening. yello watchman goby, yellow pistol shrimp, 2 nassarious snails, cleaner shrimp. i allready have two clowns in tank. tanks a 29g bio cube. im a little concerned with the goby, hes been up in the high corner of the tank since i put him in. just swimming with flow and resting on glass.is this normal, or is it intimidated or scared of clowns.other shrimp are doing great, and snails dove beneath bed as soon as i put them in.

since you just put them in this evening I wouldn't be too worried. Some fish just take longer to get used to there new surroundings.

I've had fish hide behind the filter/rocks for days and duck behind whenever I came near. Eventually, they loosen up, especially once they realize where the food comes from. out of curiosity, was the goby in the same tank with the shrimp? The LFS's here in Phoenix will often pair them in the store and sell them at a discount together.

no they were not paired yet. but the pistol shrimp is digging like crazy! well i turned off the lights and now its swimming around all over the place. weird looking, this fish just doesnt look like its engineered to be swimming around like it is. anyone know or have a bad experiance with the pistol shrimp and corals? soft or hard? plan on putting some in later on down the road. my research says they are reef safe, but first hand experiance somtimes differs.

I think the only thing to watch for with corals is that they either may pile sand on top or steal frags for making their entry to the burrow. Shouldn't be any problems so long as the frag is up in the rocks. FYI I love my Randall Goby and Tiger pair...so much that I'm thinking of trying a second pair with a YWG and red banded pistol.
