Here it is 1st FOWLR

I think there is more then 50lbs of rock in the tank sure seems like a lot. I picked it up today, the guy was done keeping fish so we tore down his 50 gallon. I brought 4 buckets filled 3 with rock and had to leave on large chunk out of the bucket so I had room in the 4th bucket for the sand. He offered me another bucket but he had it covered in latex paint so I really didn't want any of the sand or rock to touch it.

I have 4 brand new T8 ballast each of the ballast are meant to power four 4' lights, I have a pair of 2x ODNO light on my 220G fresh tank. Can i do something like this on this tank or does it even matter? Do the even make T8 50/50 bulbs?

I have an R/O filter that I will need to buy replacement filters for eventually. hope fully in the next couple months.

Last thing how much is to much flow from power heads or is there such a thing.

You want 10 to 25 gph times the tank size. You want good steady flow all around the tank. Look for low or no flow areas and adjust as needed.

In a FOWLR tank flow it is not so critical, but a good flow will help a lot. Try to keep space between your roks so there is enough flow, and as hollister recommends look for low or no flow areas.
