One more dinoflagellate question...
Do dinos always disappear at night? Are there some strains that do not?
I have what might be an outbreak, but upon looking at my tank this morning with a flashlight after it had been in complete darkness, I noticed that the algae/bacteria/dino has not disappeared, and even has some bubbles trapped in the filaments. They do get worse with lighting. So, if it does not disappear at night, can dinos be taken off the list of suspects? No access to a microscope yet, but I'm ordering a 1000x student-grade scope soon. |
