corner or center full length overflow
I just bought a 55gal acrylic tank and am going to drill it for an overflow just wondering if anyone know where i can buy a prebuilt full length overflow box i tried google with really no results thanks in advance for the help

that would be sorta a question directed towards oweners of Marineland tanks (corner) VS. owners of All Glass (center overflow)
here is my take: mechanically & geometrically: (plumbing, water flow, symetry, et) the advantages of having the plumbing centered is obvious ... but I bought a Marineland. IMHO the corner overflow is more aestically appealing even given the fact coraline algae will cover the "box" eventually anyway ...but be advised, its a semi PITA considering either the return or flow will have to be on a longer opposite end in so far as sump plumbing is concerned... minor edge to the corner overflow, but not much |
