Hello,

I was wondering how long does it take to get bacteria built up on live rock? I have tons of rubble that i was planning on putting in my display and move the rocks over as needed and discard if medication was used.

You don't have rock or worry about bacteria in a QT. Frequent water changes and possibly a carbon filter would be all you use. If you have to medicate the fish it will also kill bacteria. You can put a piece of pvc pipe in the tank for the fish to hide in.
