fluval g6 bubbles

Anyone have a Fluval g6? I've had mine running for about a week now, and every 20 minutes or so, it spits out a massive blow of air bubbles. I've checked all the hoses and seals.... even put some vaseline around the hoses to try to make them as air tight as possible, with no success....

Any other suggestions or ideas?

Yeah, I played around with the hoses a bit, tried to shorten them up a bit, and also some time.... After it gets seasoned a bit, the amount of bubbles decreases. But when you change/clean your particulate filter or chemical filter, it tends to rebubble again for a few hours. tapping or tilting the canister a bit after your turn it on tends to release most of the bubbles.

Same problem here. That and i completely do not trust the salinity levels suggested by the Fluval charts. Those would have me adding a LOT more salt than shown by two refractometers.

Well... my problem turned into an outright meltdown of my fluval... I cleaned it out, and re-assembled it one day, and it didn't turn on, at all. I sent it back to the factory for it to be refurbished..... and NEVER HEARD FROM THEM AGAIN. I've sent e-mails... made phone calls... They said they sent a replacement... but couldn't find any paperwork for it... And after a million more calls, Hagen didn't seem any more responsive.... So essentially they took back their defective product and never gave it back to me. Customer service eh?

At this point I wouldn't want it back, since I've been without it for almost a year. But still... sheesh.
