10g moonlights?
Heya, I've got a 10g tank set up, and I have a nice PAR38 20k LED for daytime use, but at night it's completely dark. Sometimes past 9pm I still want to stare into my nature-box. I was at my LFS and I saw moonlights for the first time in person. They look stunning! I was looking into what's available, and I saw "R2 Extremes" that might work, but they say it covers a 3 foot tank. That seems a bit much for a tank of my size. Would this be too much light for a 10g? I also saw some "Current USA" LEDs on Dr Foster & Smith, but they seem pretty cheap... What about DIY? If so, what kinds of optics should I be looking at? Any pointers?
TL;DR - LED Moonlighting for a 10g? |
