biopellets

I added a brs biopellets reactor to my 120 gal reef tank with a 75 gal sump.
The reactor is rated 75 gal tank. I didn't want to go overboard with the biopellets and use to much. I've read where the biopellets can starve the tank. My husband thinks I should gotten a bigger reactor and went for it!
Our nitrates are 10ppm and we do have some hair algae and some green algae on the sand. And this drives him nuts.
I just wanted to start slow and then add a bigger one later on or just get another brs reactor and hook it up inline with the other one if needed.
Did I screw up?

Thanks Toot's. I figured if I wanted a bigger reactor later, I can always convert this over to carbon. The reactor is very nice and I am using the mag 3 pump on it. I really like bulk reef supply.

yea i run the duel reactor and modded it so they run separately. as of right now i just run carbon and gfo. but imo gfo is way too expensive for the amount you get and what ever you use is only good for one moth so once this little thing of gfo is gone im going to buy some bio pellets and buy their bio pellet cylinder too.

so how is it working for you? are they tumbling consistently? is the container clogging up? how long have you been running the reactor? also could you keep us updated on your reactor's performance so we can get a unbiased review for the brs bp reactor. thanks. happy holidays!

I just set it up today. They are tumbling consistently, not clogging up as of yet. Just don't over fill reactor. I put 2 cups in and had to take 1/2 cup out!
