They all work, there is no best when it comes to food. I'd suggest feeding a variety of flake, frozen, gels and pellets.

I was using IO, now using spectrum since its popular. Fish eat it with the same gusto. I guess time will tell. Pellets make up about 50% of the diet I feed.

I would be stunned if New Life Spectrum didn't win this in a landslide.

I use new life spectrum finicky fish since the pellets are a bit smaller than thera+A. I feed both in rotation as thera+A has garlic in it but some fish can't swallow the bigger size (my tailspot blenny)
hands down the best pellets imo. fish colors are exceptional

I've used New Life Spectrum and Ocean Nutrition Formula Two.
I'd recommend either brand.

NLS is also endorsed by Bob Fenner. He has even stated that it is the best food. Another guy who uses it is Charles Delbeek.

NLS Marine Fish Formula, HBH Super Soft Spirulina and I also recently started feeding Elos.
I have read several of these "what do you feed" threads and so far NLS and Formula One seem very popular. I'm surprised no one seems to ever mention Elos. As hard as BRS tries to push this product and as popular as BRS is I'd think more people would be using it. So far fish seem to like both about the same. Coral seem to accept Elos more readily than NLS, which they usually "spit out" after a few minutes. The Elos food doesn't sink quite as fast as the NLS so I have to turn off the return pump to keep it from going down the overflow. It claims that there are no phosphates added as perservatives, which was one of the main reasons I decided to try it. http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/store/...and-coral-food |

I've never used New Life Spectrum. I've used Formula One. Is the particle size different. Anyone using Cyclopeeze? I used that some time ago and the fish and corals went ape over the stuff. I would think a rotation of different foods would be beneficial.
