what TDS meter to purchase/use? (BRS ?)
I'm finally at a point where I can set up and use my RO/DI unit. But, I don't have a TDS meter. I was thinking of buy one from BRS along with a new bulb very soon. (that way, free shipping)
What TDS meters are you all using or recommend? Single inline? Dual inline? $25.00 ? or $45.00 ? Does it matter? Accuracy is a concern, but FM2 filter monitor for ~ $50.00 ? I'm not overly cost conscience (hence the hobby), but I'm not one for buying the most expensive thing out there just cuz it's the most expensive. |

This is what has served me well for years. It is very handy in many situations. If you are looking for something to monitor your RO/DI just get a single in line. for after the RO. Pressure gauges tell you when your particle filters need changing. The FM digital is for keeping better track of your carbon changes instead of estimating how much water has passed through. I personally like the pen because you can unhook your DI stage and test your water, then test your tap water, and test the DI output. But if I had some money to burn then I would pick up a pressure gauge, single inline tds meter, FM2 in that order.

IMO, inline is the way to go. My setup has 4 TDS meters (2 dual inline) in use, before and after RO, after DI #1, and after DI#2.

+1 for the inline. You'll never lose it and all you have to do is press a button to check on the water quality.
