What pump to upgrade skimmer

I have an old school Octopus DNW 200

Here is a link:http://www.aquacave.com/reef-octopus...immer-985.html

It currently runs with an Octopus 3000 pump that I've replaced once. I have a mesh mod on prop now.

I'm wondering if there is a better pump that runs to the current plumbing and threads available and if anyone has done this conversion.

Thoughts?

Tony

I have a RO Xtreem 200 and it has a Sicce PSK2500 Pump. Works well but always replacing parts, three dif problems in about 14 months. So I would stay clear of this one.

Bb

So the bubble blaster 3000 is my best bet? Where is the best place to purchase it and what type of results should I expect?

Acording to Jeremy at Coralvue...The Super Reef Octopus external skimmers are there top of the line. The SRO 3000ext uses the BB3000 pump.

The BB pumps are specifically designed as skimmer pumps.

Call Coralvue and ask them. Pumps are matched to the the skimmer volume, reaction chamber size, neck size, etc. Ask them what the best replacement pump for your skimmer is.
