Aqua Illumination LED for biocube 29

I was thinking of getting the AI LED for my biocube 29. anyone have any ideas on how I can mount it? I would like something similar to how the HQI light is mounted to the biocube.

The tank dimensions will dictate the height you need. Are you sure a Sol Nano wouldn't work for you?

I am using the AI sol over my 28 nano. I like it allot but have to run it at 100% to get decent par readings for good SPS growth. At 100% par at the bottom was 95 and ~390 just below the surface. This is how I hung mine if you like it I can give you detailed instruction how I built it. It's height adjustable and can be swung right or left to move the fixture out of the way for maintenance.

id recommend getting the regular ai sol... if you ever do upgrade it will come in handy. plus for only a 100$ difference you get a TON more power

Can't beat that...look's good the way you have it mounted.

The mounting arm wouldnt attach to the rim,or was it just too short?

I would have just attached it to the back of the stand with a longer arm but it was filled already so I just made it to be mounted to the wall. Had it not been filled already I would have mounted it some other way.

I just modified one of these by cutting it down and making a swivel mount with a rod that extends up the middle of the hanging arm for support. The arms are long enough to be mounted to the back of the stand though. In fact that is how they are intended to work. That way there is no weight or tension on the rim of the tank.
