Reduction of rock

I have just removed half my rock from tank ,(all rock is still in system just moved to sump).
My problem seems to be red Algie on every thing .
System is 900 litre this is including sump.
After rock removal I removed most of sand cleaned in the tank water and returned .
How is this increasing my algie problem (cyano bacteria)
Tank is 1400x 700 deep by 750 wide.
Have two 250 halides and one actinic tube.

take the rock and throw it in a large trash can, with seawater. cover, no light and pump.

the algae will disappear from rock in a week or so....hopefully.

Water changes and stop feeding for a while to let the cyano die out.

You may have stirred up some nutrients from moving around/removing the sand without a doubt. Leave whatever sand you have left alone and do some water changes, 20% daily for about 2 or 3 days, if possible. 30-40% water change at once if not possible to do it on a daily schedule. My percentages may seem high but if SPS and other coral are in jeopardy you dont want to mess around and leave the nutrients in the tank.
