Picasso Trigger question

I was orginally planning on going reef tank but my wife and I saw the picasso trigger on liveaquaria.com it looked interesting and a "not something you see everyday" kind of fish and I am now considering a semi-aggressive/aggressive FOWLR tank. That said I don't want to make a mistake in buying a fish that would grow to be too big for my tank so I would like to ask you guys before I buy.

All that said, I was wondering how a picasso trigger would do in a 75G FOWLR? and if it would do well, what other tank mates could I keep with it?

the problem with a picasso in a 75 is that they will get really aggressive. If the picasso is alone that sized aquarium is perfect, but once tankmates come into the picture, it just wont work.

Gotcha, thats kind of what I was thinking as well and is why I asked on here first. I really don't want just one fish so this idea is going to go in the "wait until tank upgrade" bin for now

No matter what larger size tank you go with, you're only going to be able to keep Triggers with Triggers & ultimate tough guy fish, Sohal Tangs, Groupers etc. Once they get large enough, they will pick on non agressive fish. Triggers & especially Picasso Triggers are very personable, you & your wife won't be disappointed with a Trigger tank.

I agree. If i wasnt so stubborn and wanting to test myself with a reef id have a tank built for a clown trigger. My all time fav fish
