MP60 or MP40s

OK, I have a 60x30x24 reef that will be sps dominant. As of now Im running 2 mp40s on one side and one mp40 on other side with a couple tunze 6055s on back wall of single mp40. Been thinking about replacing the two mp40s with one mp60 and keep single mp40 on other side. Would that be a better alternative than what I have now? MP60 is 7500 gph and 2 mp40 is 6400 gph. Opinions please.

I would agree with that. But it really depends on your tank, what's in it and were you need the flow.

I would sell all the mp40's and buy a pair of mp60's. As you can tell I like a lot of flow. It would also make your tank look cleaner with only 2 Vortechs in it. Trust me, you will love the mp60's.

I like having multiple 40's for the simple fact they break or stop working I still have flow . I have been thinking of replacing 2 of my mp40's for a 60 but talked my self out of it I still may buy the mp60 and add it to one side and one mp40 on the other but still keep the other 40 for backup ....good luck

Well, first things first. Take out a second mortgage on your house, so you will be able to afford an mp60... lol

a pair of mp60's would definitely do the job, and be cleaner look. however your fish may not like it as much (they put out a crazy amount of flow).
In one of the tanks i routinely see with a pair of MP60s, the fish congregate at the edge of the reef where the flow is the least.
