Cleaner shrimp vs. neon blue goby

Which will have better parasitic cleaning abilities? The neon blue goby or the cleaner shrimp? Should you have one or the other or both?

a single shrimp will be a much more effective cleaner than a single goby.

I would think it depends on how many fish you have, I have just a few fish & my Blue Neon Goby does just fine. There certainly is no reason why you can't have both, a cleaner shrimp will be more emphatic about cleaning, especially if you have more than 5 fish who like to be cleaned.

either can be hit or miss. I have both and they do just fine together and with the other fish in the tank.

What kind of fish are you trying to clean? Small fish get freaked out when a cleaner shrimp that's twice their size tries to jump on them.

No fish yet, I'm still in the research and asking silly questions stage.
