SPS Tissue Loss - Stung

I came home today and found my red planet frag had fallen on top of my spumosa frag. Red Planet frag completely fine, but the area of contact in the other frag was stung pretty bad. There is tissue loss where they were touching, about the size of a nickle.

Will the coral heal on its own? Will it grow over the white area where there was tissue loss? Or will it spread and kill the whole coral? Should I frag the dead area? Thanks for any help.

As long as your tank parameters are fine the frag should heal itself right up. I would just leave it be and keep an eye on it.
