Question on New Purchase

I bought a 3" tassled filefish two weeks ago. He seems to be doing well in the 30 gal isolation tank. But even though he eats like a pig, he is not putting on any weight. His stomach remains shrunken.

does anyone know if this is normal for this species? or is it likely i bought a fish that was collected with cyanide?

is there anything else i can try to fatten him up before putting him in the main display tank?

I had one for 3 years and it always looked aneamic very thin. Not sure if that is normal or not What are you feeding it? Try mysis shrimp
