Shriveling mushrooms HELP please
HELP!
Help, please, with my problem: Mushrooms shrinking and shriveling to almost nothing. Size of tank: [12 gallon nano] Age of tank [over 3 years] Sump? none live rock in a nano Skimmer: none nitrate: 0 ppm ammonia: 0 ppm temperature: 78-80 degrees F Water source {ro, ro/di, tap} tap for almost a year Salinity: [1.022] Alkalinity: [???] Lights [nanocube power compacts] Calcium: [380-400] Phospahtes: [0] Magnesium {???] Dosing?[have not added] Specimen dipped [in what] or quarantined or previously treated? none Have some xenia that are growing and spreading. Coraline algae on live rock and glass is bleaching and flaking off in some places. Saw a bristle worm yesterday, and have two red legs in the nano. I had some of the nicest large 2 and 3 inch mushrooms for a couple of years, primarily in my 12 gallon tank in my kitchen. Have a few small mushrooms in my 120 and they are looking weak, but not as bad as the larger guys in the nano. I moved what I could to the 120 in an attempt to have more stable water quality, but after a week they havent bounced back. I haven't had any fish for over six months, just live rock, xenia, and cheato, checked water quality and didn't do many water changes since nitrates were consistently at 0 for the last 3 or 4 months. I have had these mushrooms since 2006 and they have done nothing but spread and grow. I have changed one of two light bulbs at the begining of January. Going to get another set on order. Any ideas on what is causing this? Is this green (like bermuda grass) algae growing on the rocks bad? DSC01628.jpg DSC01630.jpg DSC01634.jpg DSC01632.jpg DSC01635.jpg |
