Is this ICH healing or something else????

I have my young Purple tang in a 55 gallon QT along with 5 tank mates due to an outbreak of ICH. They are being treated with Cupramine and are about a 1 and 1/2 weeks into the treatment. I've kept only the lunar lights on, but today when I did some tank maintenance and turned the reef lights on I noticed the white ICH spots on the Tang now look brownish-red. Is this a sign of ICH healing or something else? Please help.

I am unable to tell from the pictures, but ich does not really "heal". How often and at what time do you test your level of cupramine? At what level are you keeping it?

Just a guess- I think this is some sort of infection. If PTs weren't such tough fish, I'd expect this fish to be dead by now. Was he really covered with ich? Eating at all/ When did these symptoms first appear? In DT, or after copper? Whatever it is, it doesn't resemble the tell-tale pattern for HLLE.

In looking at Steves reply, it may be that the copper level dropped below .5 overnight a couple of nights ago, and the ICH came back. I had to do a water change and I dosed each of the new water containers. I could have sworn it checked out all ok before I put the water it. Next morning, copper was down to about .25-.30. $#!T !!! This has been the biggest PITA...catching fish, setting up a QT and cycling it. All the water testing...I've got what looks like a chemistry lab now next to the QT! What a hard (and memorable) lesson in animal husbandry this has been.

Since I let the copper go below .5, I presume the 4 week clock starts all over again???

Yes, that was my supposition. Unfortunately, the clock restarts.
