Looking for good Aquarium building companies
I've been looking into aquariums at local fish stores. So far LeMar seems to be my best option. Are there any other companies that make custom sizes for decent price? Specs I want are 60x24x24 OR 72x24x24 Stand and Canopy. If you know any other good companies (preferibly American) that can make this please let me know name so I can look into it. * tank is for Coral, must be glass (starfire?)
Thank you. Beefy_Reefy Last edited by Beefy_Reefy; 01/24/2012 at 07:46 PM. |

I have a 245 72x30x26 being built at Great Lakes Aquariums. I have heard good things about their quality and their prices are reasonable. I opted for starphire glass front and sides. Give them a call they are very friendly and personable with as many questions as you have. Hoping to pick mine up sunday.
Best of luck, Brian |

Thank you I'll look into it. I'm in Arizona. Not sure if there are any local Aquarium Manufacturers here.
7_Hills do you mind telling me how much it's costing you? Can msg me if you'd prefer! Thanks |

I'm sure there has to be a good manufacturer closer to you. it probably would not hurt calling them and asking them if they have heard of anyone closer to you.

I went with Reef Savvy for my build and couldn't be happier. I highly recommend them. You can also check out Miracles.

If you have a chance to go with Leemar then do it. Their tanks are amazing

I think the reason for the lower pricing is due to less people being involved that need to make money. That price is to pick it up at there showroom/build facility. There is no shipping to a wholesaler who then ships it to a reseller, where along the way the tank doubles in price from everyone getting the cut. If you want stuff cheaper cut out the middle men and try to get it from the manufacturer. I would assume they all get there glass from the same suppliers it is just build quality that comes into play.
Hope this helps, Brian |

I went with a Leemar 60x24x24 150g. Ebony Oak, 32" stand, 9" canopy for a couple Radions. Hope it's enough light. It's going to be perdy! Thanks for suggestions, I looked into quite a few other companies and this fits my needs the best. Can't wait!
