Help, coral being eaten or too much light ?

I just got this , I think it's a finger leather. It looked good last night, polyps were out. Today there are 2 fingers ( on the right ) that are white now. Is it from too much light ? I have 3 reefbrite xho led's. I have a flame angel and coral band butterfly, I havent seen them picking at it but that is a possibility.I put it under a shaded area. Any suggestions ? thanks

White sounds like bleaching. If it went from low light to bright too fast, it bleached. Leathers shed and recover from it fast, though. Mine went from almost solid white to pink and healthy after two sheds.

n/p
I was on my phone so I didn't see the picture that well... It sort of looks like it's been stung or nipped on. It should recover, but I'd watch out for anybody messing with it.

I have it under a plastic net thing right now. When I get home I am going to put it back where it was and set up my video camera to see who nips at it.
I have a $ 200 order coming from coralprops tomorrow so now I need to get the nipper out. Luckily I work with a guy who would take whatever fish it is. I have a trap that I have had good luck catching fish with.
Another thought is I have a pretty big hermit that is hanging around it. Is it possible for a hermit to do it ?
thanks
