Dead Rock??

Ok here's the deal I had about 50 lbs of live rock in my 55 gallon saltwater tank. Long story short I bought a fish with ich. All the fish died. I was told that if I left the tank fishless for at least 8 weeks the ich would die because it needs a fish host.

Well someone turned off the filters and the light and the tank has pretty much sat with no filtration or even water movement for about a month now.

I'm pretty sure the rock is dead. Just some green algea on it. I wanted to clean it and add it to my 125 gallon tank.

Good or bad idea? What should I do to clean it before I add it to my 125 which already has tons of nice healthy live rock?

I don't want to add any bad algea to my 125 gallon tank...at the same time I never really had any issues with bad algea. I just had ich. Also, I don't want the dead organisms to spike the ammonia levels in my tank. I plan to add about 5 lbs a week at a time.

I just need opinions on the whole thing. I was just gonna scrub the rocks with a good brush in some hot water and maybe let them sit in a rubbermaid tote with some fresh clean saltwater. Is there anything else I should do?

Any help is appreciated.

On an additional note. This rock has never dried out. It is still sitting in the saltwater tank under water, the water just has no filtration or even movement. It's just sitting there.

Clean and recure/recycle the rock before adding it to the established tank. Make sure it's been at least 8 to 10 weeks without fish and that it is completely cycled before adding it to the established tank.

Cure the rock just like it has been on a ship from fiji for the last month. You will have dieoff within the rock that you will not want to add into an established tank.
