If they're not dimmable, what kind of drivers are? What are the components in the LED rig?
Ill most likely go with the following LEDs and yes no optics.

5 - CREE XP-G R5 Cool White 3W
5 - CREE XP-E Royal Blue 3W

Dimmable drivers for each set.

But lowering the LEDs isn't really the main goal, just an option since the tank will be in a bedroom and I'm trying to figure out a way to minimize the bleed-out of light into the entire room.

So lowering the light and creating a full cover canopy is my first thought but maybe creating the hanging canopy with the outside frame solid so light does not escape from the sides and making the height of the frame wall taller so the lighting doesn't escape out as much. attached is a diagram of it hope it makes sense not that great with diagrams. I would be going with the B setup.

Well due to dust issues in my area my own canopy setup question got answered. I don't want a lot of dust going into the tank so I will probably go with the enclosed canopy. I will be retrofitting the original top of the 16gal nano and adding the leds to it.

Do you think this will be a good setup for the 16gal Nano Tank?
Is there any recommendations?

Lights
5 - CREE XP-G R5 Cool White 3W
5 - CREE XP-E Royal Blue 3W

Drivers
2- Mean Well ELN-60-27D dimmable driver

Sorry for the late reply. Spunds good about the canopy. I'd go with Neutral Whites instead of Cool Whites. They provide a warmer color that you'll miss if you go with Cool White. The final color render is a very blueish washed color and most people and even big companies making lamps are going this route. Usually they're used in a 2:1 Ratio. Two Blues for each white. You could also do 50/50 if you're dimming them so you can adjust the spectrum. The driver is good cause the ELN60-48 holds a minimum of 8 LEDs so you're safe. What's you plan for dimming this? manually with a potentiometer?

Yes I will be using a potentiometer. I probably will go
50/50 with the blues and the neutral whites.
I do rather have a bit less blue and will control that with the dimmers.
