Prism protein skimmer

I was digging through the remnants of my tank keeping days and found this skimmer.......I think I had it on a 30 gallon or 35 hex but I don't remember anything about it. Is it worth keeping?

Any skimmer is better then none.

The prisim is only good for small tanks. I wouldn't put it on anything more than a 30. I have owned a few, and while not the best they can be made to decen little skimmer with a couple of mods. The mod that worked the best and helped to pull the most skimate was to drill the nipples out just a bit on the cup and where the inlet tube goes in. That one mod alone makes it work ten times better.

I will have to remember that if I decide to use it again. I still have the 35 hex I could use it on if I decide to actually use the tank again.

I thought there was something about changing out the pump it originally came with to make it more efficient....but its been years.
