Installing a Reef Octopus TDNW-300-6530B protein skimmer

Hello out there. I recently got a Reef Octopus TDNW-300-6530B protein skimmer for my 220g. I am just unsure on how to hook it up. I haven't been able to find good instructions on what type of pump I need to feed to it and the actual size of the intake hose (it's not 3/4 or 1) and how it is to stay in place. The intake connector is a lose piece that isn't secured, but I was thinking of using an pvc sealer to make it stick.
