surface film in refugium

Title says it all. Is this cause for worry? Probably yet another indicator that my water quality isn't where it should be?

Not unusual because refugiums generally have lower flow. Drag a paper towel across the surface of the refugium and you'll remove most of the protein slick. Call it "nutrient export" by paper towel .
