Hydroid Jellyfish
I've got a whole s*it load of these things around the tank. Bad, good, ugly? Opinions and info on these guys would be greatly appreciated. Just curious if I need to start battling them or just leave the be. Thx.

Get rid of them. They can take over especially if you feed often. Kalk paste works. Just don't overdose your tank on kalk if you have a lot.

hydroid jellyfish, or digitate hydroids or colonial hydroids?
The jelly phase is free swimming, so the kalk thing won't really work. http://library.thinkquest.org/26153/...sketch/600.jpg I've got digitate hydroids. They're more annoying to me than to the corals. They go away when I clean more and feed less, but there hasn't been anything that would eat them. I haven't bothered to try kalk paste since they don't seem to harm anything. The colonial hydroids are another story. I've been told they do actually sting corals, so the kalk paste is helpful. The jellys? Sorry, never heard of anything getting rid of them. I know people have tried, but it's hard to tell if they just go away on their own in time, or something actually ate them. (I think it was a kind of nudi, but it wasn't my tank so I'm not sure. I can't find the thread, sorry.)
