Help Eshopps PSK 75H
Sorry if this has been dealt with. I don't have the search feature available to me at the moment. I hooked up my Eshopps the other day and the amount of micro bubbles entering the tank through the black foam is insane.
2 questions- how do I resolve this? And shouldn't there be some sort of valve on the top of the air intake tube that sits at the collection cup? Or does it just stay wide open sucking maximum air. Thanks in advance for your help.

it's still breaking in. the skimmer needs to slime up. give it some time and the micro bubbles will dissipate. if you feel the need you can get a valve at home depot and put it on the end of the airline to fine tune the air once it is broken in.

Yup, I had the same skimmer on my first tank. Give it about 2 weeks. Dont go washing off the sponge either. Let it get a nice layer of crap to help minimize the bubbles.
