Protein Scimmer Problems!
Hey I have just purchased a brand new Sea Clone 100 for my reef tank. I got it and I ran it and gave it time to break in. Well after about 4 days, I unplugged it and did a water change and plugged it back in. Now every time I try and run it, it makes a lot of bubbles and like fills the cup with like water in like 1 minute and I dont know what to do!? This is brand new and I could really use some help!

The above poster was just trying to tell you that its going to give you alot of trouble if you keep it. Sometimes it takes longer to break in. I used one along time ago and was constantly having to adjust it. I dont remember, does it have a tube on the bottom of the skimmer cup so that you can run the overflow back into the tank? If so, try that for awhile until you can adjust it down again.

Research your purchases before you buy them. The very best thing to do for your sanity is to box it back up and return it. Those are the most recognizable pieces of junk ever sold to unaware and uninformed aquarists. Even if you manage to get it to not overflow, it simply does not have the ability to perform very well.
Returning it is the best help you will get, unless you enjoy aggravation for little to no return on investment. While you may not think that is being helpful, in the long run it is the very best help, return it and research the next purchase and if you cannot find the answers ask then buy. It is probably safe to say not one member here would have recommended a SeaClone. :-)
