Algae On Sand

Anyone know what this red algae is on my sand? It kinda looks like red slime, but I don't think it is. It only grows on the sand never on the rocks and it comes back over night from when I clean the sand.

Looks like cyano to me. The bubbles on the second picture indicate numerous strains that are able to produce a number of different gasses.
