2 Tbl Carbon in Reactor...?
Just got my Carbon Reactor from BRS. According to the calculation for 27.5 gallons of water ( I have a 30 gallon tank, I took out 2.5 galons for the live rock and gravel) I only need 2 Tbl of Carbon...
Does this sound correct? Never used a Reactor or Carbon before, just want to make sure I am using the Reef Calculator correct before I start this unit up. Thanks! |

To start with a couple of teaspoonfuls of carbon will be fine, I use a half litre (around a pint) of carbon in my 92 and run it 24-7 usually, as you get used to it and changing it out regually you can add more, in a 30 gallon I would use a quarter of a pint in an established system with soft corals, assuming you do keep soft corals.
