bottle trap on the hunt

Well I decided to rid my tank of two yellow tail damsels. I have a sgt major that was my first firsh so I think I'm gonna try and kee he doesn't seem aggressive, my clowns keep him in check. However my yellow tails are trying to run the tank. Anyways I decided to try a bottle trap. Within the first few hours I caught my sgt major. I released him and set the trap again.

Success!!! Well on one of them. I caught my cleaner shrimp, hermits and ampipods also. But got the more aggressive yellow tail just a few minutes ago. Now one more to go.

I need to do the same thing to a blue damsel. What kind of bottle and what kind of bait did you use?

+1 I need to do this as well. My yellowtail is being a little A-hole to my new royal gramma.

Here is a link to how to make one. I used a 20 once soda bottle.

Worked like a charm. I used a 20oz water bottle with a little flake food. Only took about 30 mins and no more Damsels.

I like the gatorade or powerade bottles. The design of those brands has a ridge on the top that kind of locks the lid into place.
