chipped glass, safe or not ?

HEllo all,
is this safe to use ?

the 24x24x14" rimless tank has a chip and start of a crack on top !

filled it up with water, front glass came off LOL ahahah

good thing I checked !

meh, Im glad I saw that and tested it outside lol ha

takign the pieces back, hope they will make a new one.

Umm, after that do you really want them to make a new one? Tanks dont just fall apart.

YEAH... that tank had worse problems than a chip!

The store I worked at had some tanks damaged in a move to a new location. One had a chip in the corner, another had a crack. They still hold water. (knock on wood, er glass...)

But the front panel coming off? Something other than a chip is at fault there.

I'd get a whole new tank. I'm glad the tank broke when you leak-tested outside, or else this thread would have been a lot worse!

I would highly recommend a new tank. Not worth the risk if it holds water on your freshwater test, then two months into a real setup the front panel falls off again.
