Does the Reef Octopus XP 5000 SSS work as well as the standard XP 5000 Int

I'm debating between the RO XP 5000 SSS or regular XP 5000 Internal skimmers. Question is does the SSS perform as well with the pump located directly beneath the cone?

I appreciate the feedback.

I think it will minimal difference but if you have the space go w/ the regular style. maintenance is easier
