How Much Flow...?

I have been looking at corals, and they say medium or strong flow, but I have no idea what constitutes 'strong' flow in a SW tank...

I have a 4ft long tank, only 16" deep and 13" front to back. It is cycling now, with 2 koralia nano 425gph at one end, one pointing along the back of the tank near the substrate the other pointing along the tank towards the top aimed towards the front glass. At the other end I have another Koralia but a 750gph also aimed along the tank angled towards the front glass.

Where does this put me? Medium, high?

I had the same question and my LFS simply told me to not worry about what constitutes med or high flow but simply have as much diverse flow as you can.

For exmple I have a 150 gallon and I am using 3 1450 gph Koralia's...all my softies are doing very well......

You are turning over your tank water about 30x per hour by my rough and quick calculations. That puts you more to the medium high end of the scale, IMHO.

Thanks.. I think I am perhaps a bit on the high side after reading that article. I may swap that 750 out for another 425 nano. nvm that for now i am also running the AC110 which adds potentially another 400+gph (its running floss so abit reduced)
