Drilling a 125???
Hey guys! I recently purchased a used 125 from a friend. I would really like to drill the bottom but I am not sure if its tempered or not. I found the label on the tank that says "FW (freshwater I'm guessing) Feb. 13 2003 and the serial number". I cannot find the maker of the tank listed anywhere. I'm assuming the bottom is tempered because of the footprint and weight being applied to it.
Any help/suggestions would greatly be appreciated! Brandon |

Bottom is probably tempered. If you look closely along the edges you may see etch marks from the tempering process where it was hung, maybe not. I'd assume it's tempered, better safe than sorry.

There are easy methods to check for tempered glass but I don't recall exactly what they are. I would expect most 125's to have a tempered bottom glass.

Look up tempered glass and polarized lenses on google. That should point you in the right direction.

Probably tempered but do the test with polarized lenses to be sure.
