Refugium or just a sump with live rock

What is better for a reef. I have a 75 gallon with fuge now but I wanna upgrade to at least a 150. I've seen some people with just sump with live rock and seem to do great.

The refug will be great if your plans are to have corals, livestock that require a good pod population such as mandarin gobies or others...

You can stock it up with lots of cheato algae which will help host pods but just realize this takes a little time... (years sometimes to truly develop to the level needed)

A good sump with LR or matrix rock works for most reef tanks not having these requirements though..

Just all depends how much time and $$$$ you want to spend on it...

Fuge is the answer for me then. Do you think 75 gallon is ok for 150-200 gallon

Yes a 75 standard would be fine... I had a nice 55 long under a 125 and it was perfect... the more you can have working underneath the better you will be... you can also keep some emeralds..
