Coralline algae die off?

I just moved my tank to my new house and due to a pump not working I had to delay the fill up and start of the tank and new location. When I finally had it up and running I noticed a lot of my coralline algae turned light pink and can easily be scraped off. Did it die and will it come back ? I even tried keeping the rock wet but it didn't work.
I'm not happy seeing how hard it was to finally get it growing. Any suggestions.
