Cinnamon Clownfish attacking Foxface
Ok so I here is the rundown on the tank...
Stock List: 1 1/2" - 2" Humu Humu 3' Diamond Watchman Goby 4" Foxface 3 1/2" Cinnamon Clownfish Corals: Zoa Rock LTA 5 or 6 SPS Frags Params: Ammonia - 0 Nitrite - 0 Nitrate - less than 5 Tank is stocked with 75lbs of live rock and a bunch of live sand. Tank itself has been up and running for two months but rock and water was moved over from tank that was up and running for a year. I haven't moved over rest of corals yet because of no time. I added all four fish at the same time last week and everything was fine. Then Friday night I noticed the clownfish and foxface being crappy to each other...nothing big, but just crappy. I wake up Saturday morning and notice what appears to be teeth striations on the side of the foxface. Clownfish was in nem most of day till lights out. Wake up Sunday morning and notice a couple more marks like the first. I am very confident that they are teeth marks from the clownfish. So my question is this...at what point do I move the clownfish to another tank? I'm hoping that this is just a little territorial issue that will work itself out because if it isn't, then I have a huge task on my hand. I would have to move a pair of clowns and fire goby out of my RSM130D, remove most corals and redo that aquascape and then add cinnamon clownfish and nem to that tank and move my pair of clowns, fire goby and corals to the 125g. Oh, and my RSM has been up for a year as well so I'm not worried about water quality for the nem. TIA

Oh and I tried to get pics but my foxface is shy of the camera so you will just have to believe me that they are truly teeth striations.

That's a BIG goby!
I would suspect either the clown, like you are, or more likely the humu humu. Very aggressive fish.

Sorry, 3" DWG!!
Definitely not the humu humu. He is not aggressive at all...been keeping with the foxface for a few months and corals for a few months as well. Also, he tends to swim over to the clown and foxface when they are around each other and splits them up by swimming between them.

Update:
No new marks on the foxface this morning, which is good. Off to work and hopefully no new marks when I return later today.
