cannot figure out the seaclone

a buddy of mine had a sea clone he never took out of the box and gave it to me for 75gallon. i put it in my sump and have had it running for about 3 days now. the collection cup keeps filling with water. i have tried following the directs on setting it and looked up others opinions on how to adjust it. nothing seems to be working. any ideas?

Is this an insump model? I have one on my 10 gallon QT tank and it's a hang on back style. No offense, but a real crappy skimmer. I used it on my original 44 gallon tank and it couldn't even come close to keeping up.

Mine requires constant adjustment. Every day to every other day the air valve has to be adjusted. A real PIA. Good Luck.

If you decide to get a different skimmer and don't have a lot of cash. Look at the SCA-302, it's a decent skimmer for a budget. Just look in this section for the thread titled "SC 150 skimmer review pics" if you're interested. I got one for my 90 gallon and it's working nicely. More inline with your size tank.

It is an insump or hang on back. I have it in sump in about 6 -8 inches of water. I guess ill try opening it all the way. If that doesn't work I'm gona hang it on the back and see what happens. Only problem with that is that the bubbles spill out of a hole in the top when the cup fills with water
