How to set up a temporary aquarium for a home move
I am moving next week and I currently am running a 125 gal flat back hex acrylic aquarium and need to tear it down for the move. I bought a 40 gallon tank to use as a temporary tank. I would like to do some repairs to the stand as well as try to have some of the scratches taken out of my 125 after tearing it apart. I currently have a FOWLR and wet/dry for the filter. When I set up the 40 gallon should I buy an overflow box and continue to use the wet/dry as it is now or can I just use a Magnum 350 to keep the water moving and clean? I am guessing I will need 3-4 weeks with this set up till I can set up my 125 again. Any advice on how to do this project would be greatly appreciated.

will you be able to fit all the animals and rock from your 125 into the 40? If you do weekly water changes im sure you will be fine without using an overflow/wet dry/magnum350. Id just have good flow in there as long as you arent going longer than a month, you should be fine. Keep an eye on the water parameters so the unexpected doesnt occur.

I only have 3 fish. A clown, powder blue tang, and a blue face angel so I should be fine. I was thinking that if I run the Magnum and do the water changes I would be fine since the live rock is handling the biological.
