What ATO unit should I buy?

So i'm putting a 20L sump under my 65g display and I would like to add an auto-top off. I dont really need to get anything fancy, just something that does its job. Any suggestions?

I haven't had problems with my JBJ ATO with the Aqua lifter pump.

if u have a controller u can add on a float and program it that way or a standalone JBJ ATO works well.

There are circuit modifications, (latching circuits) that can be used, but this system works well.

I would suggest the Tunze Osmolator, awesome product. Price can set you back but it hasn't failed me yet.

I have a JBJ, it is pretty good no issues form it. I would have gone with a tunze but I could not bare to spend that much. (I liked the optical sensor vs float). Overall JBJ one works well.

+1 Tunze Osmolator. I have one on my 29gallon tank and it's amazing. You won't regret it.

What kind of pump do you use for the JBJ Auto TOp off? and do you just plumb tubing into the return section of the sump and to the pump in the resovoir?

The pump you use is a aqua-lifter. Its only about $20.

I have my aqualifter hanging inside my stand with one tube going to the return section and the other tube going to the top off resovoir. The aqualifter plugs directly into the JBJ.

Yup. I was just going to buy the JBJ ATO on bulkreefsupply and they are out of stock! I wonder how long it usually takes to come in. They are $20 less then anywhere i've seen.

Got my ATO from autotopoff.com. It's a sump-mounted double float switch, which I hooked up to my Apex controller. I also use the Aqua Lifter pump.

Get an Apex unit. I have the regular apex, but its a bit pricey.
Get the Apex Jr, and you can do everything, and view it on the new iphone app! its sick!

It is called TB Aquatics. They are actually located in Flemington New Jersey and if you place an order online you can go pick it up at their storefront.
