1.5gal regium would it be enough?

Hey everybody, this forum is awesome! I've learned a lot so far but have a question. I have a 12g aquapod with 70w HQI sunpod with 6 volt atinic cree leds. I have 3snails,3hermets,Zoe's,paly's,rics, and some sps and I'm having a Nitrate issue and wondering if a refugeim even if its a old 1.5gal hex tank would be worth it? Or work for that matter. It fits perfectly in my stand and would look nice. What do you guys and gals think?

I was going to say it couldn't hurt, but probably wouldn't benifit you very much, but on that small of a tank it might actually be worth doing?.

thats what i thought my 12gal tank w/ 1.5gal refugium would be equevalent to a 120gal tank w/15gal refgugium, right?

i also have a small refugium and it seems to benefit. i have a corner, so i only have a 20h for a sump... so my small section for refugium is only about that. and now my nitrates are 0. but never really got high, seemed to stay just below 10 before i added the rubble and chaeto. also gave me a place for pods

awesome do you have a siphon to the sump and then a pump for a return? how do you run the plumbing? and can i add some safety feature somehow so it doesn't flood my floor if the power goes out? any links would be appreciated i tried googling it but theres alot of methods out there from the looks of it but i don't know what would be best. thanks
